Choose one value.
Not your whole philosophy. Just one word you actually want to live by (for example: honesty, patience, courage, generosity, learning).
Then write one example:
- One moment from the past week where you lived it.
- Or one specific action you could take this week that would express it.
Keep it “one-to-one”: one value → one example.
If it helps, make the example measurable in plain language:
- “Honesty: I told my colleague I couldn’t meet the deadline instead of pretending I could.”
- “Generosity: I sent $10 to a friend’s fundraiser and didn’t mention it.”
- “Learning: I read 3 pages of a difficult article and wrote down one question.”
You’re not trying to prove you’re a good person.
You’re just making the value concrete—because “values” are easy to say, but examples are easier to understand.
